Carly and friend relaxing

Carly and a friend having a smoke outside Goodbye Blue Monday. She is almost unrecognizable from the picture I took of her inside the club two weeks earlier. What is it? The clothes, lighting, mood...? We heard The Steve Pardo band with Lindley Cameron playing something swingy and lilting.

  1. Ah ha! I believe this fellow is the guitarist for that band I mentioned before, the "Marionettes of Satan." It would seem that you're slowly capturing the whole band, one member at a time!

Goodbye Blue Monday is turning out to be one of my most favorite places in the world. I'm so glad you and Caroline are exploring Bushwick, and appreciating it as much as I do.

  2. I recognized Carly immediately, a perfect stand-in for Winona Ryder, though noticeably rounder. This is another fine photo that looks like a scene from a movie. I love that Carly and friend are not engaged and would like to know what thought was on each of their minds.

  3. What a differece between her appearence here and in your allegory of death. They happen to be seated together but seem removed and distant somehow. I like the way the light plays on her breast and hand.
