Joel is an English language teacher and riding instructor. He is holding the leading rain attached to his pupil's horse, Margaret, a retired Belgium draft horse, who used to pull tourists around Central Park in her working days.
No, I do not think she was camera shy, but I was struck by Joel himself when I saw them, not the combination of horse, pupil and instructor. The large horse and the large rider on top of the horse would have distracted from Joel. But I must credit Margaret for being patient while I took the picture.

ReplyDeleteYou're right Dmitri, he is quite striking. Perhaps what Hunter Thompson may have looked like eventually had he decided not to exit. Genuinely stylish.
