The boy wanted to explore the barn. I told him there was nothing there except junk; mostly old mowers that went back to the 1940's. That only encouraged him so I told him there was a ground hog that lived there who did not want to be disturbed. He did not like the sound of that and returned to his mother.

Many fascinating contrasts here. The Mom musters a genuine smile while the kids look worried, if not in the case of the boy, frightened. I see her arms around them yet there's this weird ventriloquist/doll appearance at play too. The kids are dressed in primary colors while she's in secondary. She's a brunette and they're distinctly blond. They're in sandals and she's barefoot. A unique moment nicely captured.
