We became friends sitting round a table for 8 at the annual farmers' market dinner in Garrison. The table was nearest the bar and furthest from the band. 2 weeks later he and his wife and their 2-year-old arrived at the studio punctually at eleven.
About an hour ago I checked the blog and spotted your wonderful new photo 'Same girl, different chicken'. I figured you would post your first shot taken eighteen months earlier for comparison above it so I waited. Just came back and instead, here's this guy. Nice shot too, but... . He strikes an intensely thoughtful pose, though he's clearly happy here as both your subject and new friend.
I love this picture of him. It captures him perfectly, as he generally is this thoughtful. The girl with the chicken(s) looks like she'd be at home in Bruge. Both excellent shots.
